The best off road trails

- Managa 4×4 Trail
This trail covers the central part of the Kruger National Park and it starts in the Satara area and takes guests on a 48km journey through some of the most exciting areas of the park. Most of the terrain is knob-thorn and marula trees and the trail then goes through the grasslands where guests will get to see many exciting sightings like the Big Five and grazers.
- Northern Plains 4×4 Trail
The trail lies between Pafuri and Shingwedzi, and it covers an area of about 49km in total. The trail starts at Babalala Picnic spot and heads east, taking guests through the mopane scrubveld and then on into the baobabs in the sandveld.
- Nonokani 4×4 Trail
This particularly unique trail begins close to the Phalaborwa Gate and the trail covers 46km of amazing Kruger landscapes. The trail starts at the Masorini Picnic Spot and travels south through the mopane treescape and bushwillow woodlands. Guests then arrive at the Reenvoel Dam and drive along the Olifants River as they make their way back to the Sable Dam.
- Madlanbantu 4×4 Trail
This is one of the most easily accessible of all of the 4×4 trails, as it is situated in the Pretoriuskop area. The trail covers 42km and takes guests through the terminalia woodland before the trail heads along the Nsikazi River. This trail covers a lot of places where the Big 5 are common sightings and it is also not all that uncommon to see rhino here.
