September is officially tourism month in South Africa, and with so much to see and so many incredibly beautiful places to visit, September is the perfect month to plan your visit to the country and explore the wonders of our nation.

- The Wild Coast
Situated in the Eastern Cape, the Wild Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the country and certainly one place you should visit if you want to see some of the coastal attractions. There are numerous small towns to explore, places to go surfing and hiking, and lots of wilderness.

The Garden Route is also in the Eastern Cape and it is a picturesque destination that covers a long stretch of coastline and is absolutely something stunning to behold. This place is a gem within the Free State and it is situated right up close to the Lesotho border. The park is amazing because of the mountain views and there are plenty of great things to do here, such as horseback riding and guided tours. The Northern Cape of South Africa doesn’t always get the most attention when it comes to holiday destinations, but if you go to the right places you can expect otherworldly views of the most beautiful mountains and rock formations.

What better way to celebrate Tourism Month than to go to the Cradle of Humankind in Gauteng? This is one of the few places in the world where you can take a step back in time as it has been proven that here is one of the earliest examples of human existence. There is a lot to take in here and so much to see and experience, that you can easily make a day of this sort of trip.
