Mandela House Museum
The first stop on the Apartheid and Soweto Tour takes visitors to the Orlando home of the late president, Nelson Mandela. Guests will be able to enjoy a large variety of memorabilia, photographs and paintings of the Mandela Family. Guests will learn about the younger days of Nelson Mandela.
Other famous houses in Orlando West
After visiting the house of late president Nelson Mandela, there are plenty of other houses that can be visited in the area. Orlando West is home to plenty of famous icons like Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and even the Sisulu residence.
Hector Pieterson Memorial
Close to where the Mandela Family Museum can be found, is the Hector Pieterson Memorial. The memorial was erected in the memory of the Soweto Student Uprising and the lives that were lost due to police brutality during the Apartheid era.
Apartheid Museum
After enjoying a delicious lunch, the final stop on the educational and thought-provoking tour will be at the Apartheid Museum, where guests will be led through the excellently curated exhibits.
