Day 1: Self Drive to Umbhaba Eco Lodge (Dinner Included)

Clients drive themselves to Umbhaba Eco Lodge in Hazyview, a small town known as the Gateway to Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at the lodge there is time to relax in the pool, enjoy the large gardens and water features, and indulge in a drink at the bar. Clients stay in the lodge’s Superior Rooms, each with its own private balcony, and dinner is included.

Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari (Breakfast Packs & Dinner Included)

The best time of the day to go into the Kruger is just before sunrise. We enter the park as the gates open, and after about 3 hours of exploring the park, and looking for wildlife, the guide will stop for breakfast. Delicious breakfast packs will be provided by the lodge. We then continue with the safari,  exploring the Kruger’s various eco-zones, each with a different variety of wildlife. We visit rivers and watering holes as well as the park’s vast plains and Bushveld regions.

At around 12 pm your guide will stop for lunch at one of the rest camps. Your lunch is on your own account and while at the camp there is time to do some curio shopping.

We then safari in the direction of the lodge, arriving back at around 4 pm, with enough time to swim, relax and have dinner. During this full day Kruger Park safari, common sightings include impala, kudu, buffalo, elephant, lion, and even leopard and rhino!

DAY 3: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari (Breakfast Packs & Dinner Included)

Today, we again depart before sunrise for another open vehicle full day Kruger Park safari. The exciting thing about the Kruger is that no safari is ever the same, and you will always see something new. We prefer the early starts because it gives our guests the chance to see all sorts of predators, like hyena and lion, who are often more active in the mornings. Your guide will have the best idea, depending on the time of the year, about which roads to take in the park, to give you maximum viewing.

We drive for 3 hours and then stop for a refreshing breakfast. After stretching our legs, we continue again and safari until lunchtime, when we will visit a rest camp where there will be restaurants and shops to enjoy, before heading slowly back to the lodge.

The Kruger is vast and every safari is very different. Kurt Safari is rated the number 1 TripAdvisor-approved safari operator in the Kruger, we have some of the best guides and we promise you the best safari possible!

DAY 4: Breakfast at the Lodge (Breakfast Included)

Breakfast will be served at the lodge and clients then depart for their next destination.
Check out time is 10 am.
