What is included in the 4-day private Kruger safari at Kruger Gate Hotel?
The dry season, from May to September, is widely considered the best time to visit the Kruger National Park. With the vegetation thinned out and animals gathering around water sources, wildlife sightings are more frequent and more spectacular. For the most comfortable weather conditions, April to May and September to October have mild temperatures and little rain, making them particularly rewarding months for a luxury Kruger safari.
The most convenient way to reach Kruger Gate Hotel is via a direct flight from Johannesburg or Cape Town to Skukuza Airport, with daily flights operated by Airlink. From the airport, your Kurt Safari guide will meet you and transfer you through the Kruger National Park to the hotel, a scenic 35-minute drive that offers a beautiful first glimpse of the bush. Return transfers to Skukuza Airport are included on the final day of your stay.
Is this Kruger safari suitable for families and children?
The southern Kruger National Park is one of the most wildlife-rich regions in all of Africa, and consistently among the best areas in the park for Big Five sightings. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and white rhino are all regularly encountered here, alongside large herds of plains game including zebra, giraffe, kudu, impala, and wildebeest. The river systems attract hippo and crocodile, and the area is equally celebrated for its extraordinary birdlife.
