These cool, early hours are perfect for spotting predators and other wildlife. After a short drive, you’ll enter the park, where your guide will lead you to prime areas for sightings of the Big 5 and plains game.

Breakfast packs are arranged by the lodge, and about three hours in, you’ll stop for a coffee and bathroom break before continuing through the Kruger’s fascinating landscapes, which include rivers, bushveld, and open plains, all teeming with life.

Later, you’ll enjoy lunch (own account) at a rest camp, with time to browse the curio shop or sip a cold beer before heading back to the lodge. You’ll return around 15:30–16:00, just in time to unwind, swim, and enjoy a well-earned dinner.

3 Day Best of Kruger Luxury Safari FAQs

Is 3 days enough for Kruger National Park?

Yes. Three days is enough time to experience the best of Kruger National Park, especially with an itinerary that includes a night safari, a full-day safari, and a sunrise safari. This schedule maximises wildlife sightings, giving travellers excellent opportunities to spot the Big 5, predators, and other iconic animals across different habitats.

A luxury Kruger safari is absolutely worth it if you want comfort, personalised service, and high-quality wildlife experiences. Luxury lodges like Umbhaba Eco Lodge have air-conditioned rooms, great meals, Wi-Fi, peaceful natural surroundings, and professional guides, creating a far more relaxed, immersive, and memorable safari compared to budget tours.

This all-inclusive safari includes return transfers from Johannesburg, a night safari, a full-day safari, a morning safari, conservation fees, 4-star accommodation, two breakfasts, two dinners, one lunch, and mineral water on all drives. It is designed to be a complete, hassle-free wildlife holiday with expert guides and premium comfort.

The best time to visit the Kruger National Park is from April to November, when the dry season leads to better visibility, more predictable wildlife movements, and cooler temperatures. These months offer excellent chances of seeing the Big 5, especially during early morning and evening game drives.

The road transfer from Johannesburg to Hazyview takes approximately 5–6 hours, depending on traffic. Pickups from OR Tambo Airport and hotels within a 5 km radius are included. Guests flying into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) receive a complimentary shuttle to the lodge.
