Clients are collected early in the morning from one of the various lodges in or within a 5km radius of the town of Hazyview. Clients travelling to the park from further away, those not staying in the area, will be able to meet their safari vehicle at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or they can meet the vehicle at either Numbi or Phabeni Gate. The best morning safaris begin long before the sun heats up the African landscape. At this time of day, the animals are roaming freely, which means you get to see their first activities of the day, before they seek out shade as the day becomes hotter. Some of the best wildlife sightings of predators and their prey, and sleepy plains game, happen during the earliest parts of the day, making a morning safari a popular one.
We travel the park for about 3 hours before stopping for breakfast. Once you’ve had breakfast or a light snack, the tour will continue as we visit waterholes and watch the animals come in to quench their thirst before taking on the heat of the day.
We will stop at a picnic spot or rest camp during the morning for breakfast and for restroom breaks. Please a good quality sun cream, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing in the winter months and a rain jacket in the summer months. Mineral waters are included on all safaris.

A morning safari starts bright and early. During the winter months, the sun has barely risen before the safari begins. We collect our safari clients from their lodgings in Hazyview, between 5:30 and 6:00 am, while those travelling from further away can either meet us at Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or at either Numbi or Phabeni Gate.
The mornings are some of the most magical times in the Kruger National Park. The cooler weather has the wildlife a lot more active and it is not unusual to see all sorts of predators including Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Hyena and Wild Dogs.
We enter the Kruger, just as the gates open for the day. For the next few hours, we tour some of the most popular areas in the Southern Kruger, stopping at lookout points and watering holes, in search of wildlife. In a single morning, guests can see plenty of animals including lion, elephant, impala, and giraffe, as well as some nocturnal animals.
Guests will enjoy their pre-packed breakfasts at a local picnic area. Guides will make regular stops so guests can stretch their legs. The tour will continue until 11:30, when guests will be returned to the lodge and continue on with their day, leaving the park with incredible memories.
