Morning Safaris

We collect clients from all lodges in and within a 5 km Radius Of Hazyview, Clients coming from Further away can meet the safari vehicle at the well-known Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or Numb and Phabeni gates.  Predators like leopard, cheetah, wild dogs and lion are Most active during these cooler hours of the day, we safari for around 3 Hours before our breakfast break.

What to expect

Before the sun starts beating down in the African bushveld, your Safari  Departs from Umbhaba Eco lodge in Hazyview. The early mornings is the ideal time to witness the first animal activity of the day, The great predators like leopard, cheetah, wild dogs and lion are Most active during these cooler hours of the day, we safari for around 3 Hours before our breakfast break.

Once you’ve had breakfast or a light snack, it is a great time to visit waterholes and watch the animals come in to quench their thirst before taking on the heat of the day. Our guides are all qualified and have years’ worth of experience in the park. They love nothing more than to share them well of knowledge with you and to make sure that you have the best safari experience possible. We will stop at a picnic spot or rest camp throughout the morning for breakfast, and restroom breaks. Please bring with sun cream, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, warm clothing in the winter months and a rain jacket in the summer months. Mineral waters are included on all safaris.

Morning Safari

We collect clients from all lodges in and within a 5 km Radius Of Hazyview, Clients coming from Further away can meet the safari vehicle at the well-known Perry’s Bridge Trading Post & Tourism Centre, or Numb and Phabeni gates.  Predators like leopard, cheetah, wild dogs and lion are Most active during these cooler hours of the day, we safari for around 3 Hours before our breakfast break.

You will be collected at your Lodge between 5:30 & 06:00 am (Umbhaba Eco lodge on the R40 towards White river 1 km from Hazyview.). Guests will enter the Kruger National Park just as the gates open. The guide will explore various watering holes and lookout points throughout the morning to increase the amount and variety of animals guests can encounter. Some of the animals that guests can encounter in the early morning include lions, antelope, buffalo and giraffes as well as some nocturnal animals that are still out feeding.

Guests will enjoy their pre-packed breakfasts at a local picnic area. Guides will do regular stops so guests can stretch their legs. The tour will continue until 11:30, when guests will be returned to the lodge and continue on with their day, having wonderful memories of Kruger Park.
