Growing up, I always knew that one day I would work in the Kruger National Park. After leaving school, I spent 6 or 7 amazing years travelling East and Southern Africa, learning everything I could as I worked as an overland guide. But the Kruger was always there, calling me home.
When I returned to South Africa, I worked as a safari guide in the Kruger, before starting Kurt Safari Co. a company that has shaped the way that guests experience an authentic Kruger Park Safari drive. The idea back then was to just have one or two vehicles, but the demand for our Kruger safaris grew and so did my dream of giving clients a quality safari experience, something that would just be better and different to what anyone else had to offer.
Over the last 14 years, Kurt Safari Co. has become a leading safari company in the Kruger National Park.

All of our guides are locals who live in the Kruger region. Our guides have many years of safari guiding experience, and many started as trackers in the surrounding Private Reserves, working themselves up to becoming safari guides. Today our guides are amongst the very best in the Kruger.

Our safaris depart from Johannesburg 3 times a week and our guests stay at the magnificent Umbhaba Eco Lodge, adjacent to the Kruger National Park.
