Located near Hazyview, Umbhaba Eco Lodge is a 4-star property featuring stylish, modern accommodation. We will travel directly to the lodge in Hazyview and arrive between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Guests will have time to relax, unpack and enjoy a light lunch, and there is also time to go for a swim or for a walk around the beautiful lodge or its walking trails.
We depart at around 16:00 pm for a Sunset/Night Safari in the Kruger National Park before returning to the lodge at approximately 19:30 or 20:00 pm for a scrumptious dinner, and a good night’s rest.

A morning safari is the best time to see wildlife, especially predators.
Your guide will choose the best areas of the park to explore on this Kruger park game drive. During this morning’s adventure, we will see a variety of wildlife, and we’ll hopefully encounter the Big 5.
The lodge will arrange breakfast packs and after about 3 hours of driving, your guide will stop for breakfast and bathroom break, and there is also a chance to get a coffee. We then continue with the safari. The Kruger Park is home to a variety of eco zones, and each one has a different kind of wildlife to see. During the safari, we will visit rivers and watering holes as well as the vast open plains and the park’s Bushveld regions.
We then stop for lunch at a rest camp, where this meal will be on your own account. While here there will be time to do some curio shopping or to indulge in a cold beer!
Your guide will then continue with the safari, as you make your way back towards the lodge. We arrive back at between 15:30 and 16:00 pm, with enough time to relax, swim and have a great dinner.

De tour van vandaag brengt je naar God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (de op twee na grootste canyon ter wereld), Lisbon Waterfalls, de 3 Rondavels en de stad Graskop.
We beginnen met een heerlijk warm ontbijt in de lodge om 07:00 uur en je gids zal je om 08:00 uur ontmoeten in een gesloten voertuig met airconditioning.
De Panoramaroute begint 45 minuten na het verlaten van Hazyview. Onderweg klimmen we bijna 1000 meter omhoog in de prachtige noordelijke Drakensbergen. De temperaturen hier variëren sterk ten opzichte van Hazyview, dus neem een jas en comfortabele wandelschoenen mee, want we maken overdag een aantal mooie wandelingen.
After a day of sightseeing, we stop at the small misty town of Graskop for lunch and some curio shopping. The town is famous for its delicious pancakes, so we’ll be stopping for lunch at the town’s pancake restaurant. There are some great locally owned shops waiting to be explored and guests will have more than enough time to enjoy a stroll through the town.
We arrive back at the lodge at about 16:00 pm. There is time to enjoy a drink, have a cooling swim and then tuck into a hearty dinner at the lodge, before an early start for the last Kruger Park morning safari of the trip.

Today is our last safari and again we depart from the lodge before sunrise. We will have another packed breakfast at one of the rest camps or picnic sites. The guide will focus on trying to find the animals we couldn’t find on the first 2 safaris, and as always, we hope to see lion and leopard as they are at their most active in the early mornings. The Kruger National Park has 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species, so lots to see and photograph on each game drive.

Hier kun je afscheid nemen van je gids en is er tijd om je op te frissen voor de terugreis naar Johannesburg. Klanten worden rond 12:30 uur opgehaald door de shuttle en je keert terug naar de OR Tambo shuttle terminal van Johannesburg of een lodge binnen een straal van 5 km van de luchthaven, waar je tussen 17:00 en 18:00 uur aankomt.

Clients flying out of OR Tambo International on the last day of their trip should please not book their flight any earlier than 20:00 pm for Domestic Flights and 21:00 pm for International Flights.
You’ll be dropped off at the airport or at a lodge within a 5km radius of the airport.
