6 days spent travelling through the Kruger National Park, driving from the southern areas, where sightings come regularly, into the central plains around Satara and Olifants, where lion populations are among the highest in Africa, and ending with 1 extraordinary day on the Panorama Route; this exciting tour is for travellers who’d rather see the Kruger all at once rather than in bite-sized pieces.

Other drop-off points can be arranged on request.

On this tour, you’ll be staying overnight at accommodation within or adjacent to the Kruger National Park (all accommodation will be subject availability).
Each camp or lodge is chosen for its location within the region being explored on the day, giving guests the best possible chance of having exceptional sightings.
Each morning on this tour starts with coffee and rusks, followed by a delicious packed breakfast enjoyed out in the bush once the morning game drive is underway.
Lunch gives guests the freedom to choose their own meal or stop along the route, while dinner will be served at the camp or lodge each evening.

- Day 1 – Arrival and entry into the southern Kruger National Park

Jour après jour
Jour 1 – Arrivée et le sud du Kruger
This tour begins with a transfer to the Kruger National Park, where the group will enter through one of the southern gates.
The southern Kruger is widely considered the very best area of the park for a safari, as it is home to a variety and abundance of wildlife, with all members of the Big 5 often spotted here. The area has a range of habitats, all of which support a flourishing ecosystem.
Your first drive will start on entry, with your guide choosing the route based on their experience and the most recent sightings. The guides know the bush as well as you know your home, and they will look specifically for signs of animals nearby.
There’ll be a lunch stop at a rest camp or a picnic spot, which will be on your own account, followed by an afternoon game drive as you make your way to the camp or lodge you’ll be staying at this evening.
Jour 2 – Le sud du Kruger
The best time for a safari is the early morning, just as the day starts to brighten and the wild calls of nature begin to fill the air.
Today, your morning begins before sunrise, well before the gates open, with coffee and rusks to give you enough fuel for the exciting morning ahead.
The sounds of the bush waking up are quite indescribable, and dawn is generally the time when you might come across a pride of lions finishing their evening meal, elephants making their way almost silently through the bush to have their first drink of the day, or hyenas and their pups, stretching and yawning as they leave their den.
The drive continues into the late morning, with a stop for breakfast. Along the way, you’ll visit available hides, where you’ll have waterside sightings and other peaceful experiences.
Following a lunch stop, the afternoon drive will take a different route back to the camp or lodge, where dinner is served later in the evening.
Jour 3 – Centre du Kruger
After 2 days in the Southern Kruger, your luggage will be packed into the vehicle, and after coffee and rusks, you’ll leave your accommodation and take the slow route north to the beautiful central Kruger.
The morning drive is packed full of new sights and new wildlife encounters. The central Kruger is known to have some of the park’s most reliable game viewing.
The open savannah around Satara and Olifants is lion country. The area’s pride density is among the highest in Africa, and early morning game drives tend to include lion sightings.
The scenery in the central Kruger is also vastly different to that of the southern areas of the park. Knob-thorn and marula trees are scattered across the grasslands, which in turn reach out toward the soft, distant hills, giving game drives here a sense of openness, allowing you to see for kilometres around you, especially when standing on one of those hills, at a lookout point.
Herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest can often be spotted moving across these plains in huge numbers, drawing the attention of cheetah and wild dog as well as lion.
A short way into your morning drive, you’ll stop at a picnic site or rest camp and have your packed breakfast before your drive continues.
Following a lunch stop, the afternoon drive will take you back to the camp or lodge, arriving in good time for dinner.
Jour 4 – Centre du Kruger
The early mornings continue today, and after having coffee and rusks, you’ll set out just as the gates open.
Your morning game drive will take you through new areas of the central Kruger, allowing you to explore a whole different side of the park, one rarely seen during a typical safari.
During the morning, the tour will stop somewhere comfortable, so you can have your prepacked breakfast, after which you’ll spend the rest of the morning visiting various hides and lookout points, as you travel through the central Kruger.
There’ll be a lunch stop and time to rest and stretch your legs ahead of the afternoon drive that will take you through the surrounding bush, as you head back to your accommodation for dinner and a peaceful evening spent listening to the distant roars of lions.
Jour 5 – Voyage à travers le Kruger
Your luggage is packed once again, ahead of an early start, as today you’ll be heading to a new area of the park.
The route will take you along new roads, and you’ll visit hides, lookout points and dams. Along the way, the group will stop for a hearty packed breakfast enjoyed out in the bush or at a picnic spot.
The late morning continues with further exciting animal sightings, before a lunch stop breaks up the day.
During the afternoon, your game drive will take a route that will lead you to the camp or lodge adjacent to the park where you’ll be spending the evening.
Jour 6 – Une dernière journée au Kruger
Today is your last morning within the Kruger National Park, and it begins in familiar fashion, with luggage packed and coffee and rusks served before you head out on your early morning game drive.
The drive will take you to the day’s final destination, which may lie within the park or at a lodge just outside of its boundary.
You’ll stop for breakfast and lunch and end the day at the camp or lodge.
Jour 7 – La Blyde Dam et la Route panoramique
The last day on this tour is totally unlike the rest of your trip.
Rather than a game drive, today you’ll be travelling up into the mountains of the Panorama Route, one of South Africa’s most spectacular road routes.
The day starts with a boat cruise on the Blyde Dam, at the base of the Blyde River Canyon, the world’s only green canyon, where the sight of cliff faces is quite awe-inspiring.
With coffee and a packed breakfast to keep you fuelled, once the cruise concludes, you’ll take the route that climbs high up onto the escarpment to complete the Panorama Route. Along the way, you’ll see the Three Rondawels, God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes, as well as numerous waterfalls, forests and small towns.
A lunch stop (at your own expense) is included en route, and the tour comes to a close when you are dropped off at the end of the day.
This tour ends after the Panorama Route tour. We highly advise guests to organise transfers and flights for the day after the tour ends to prevent delays.

Pick-ups start as early as 06h00, with the actual time set by that day’s route plan.
Clients will be told their pick-up time and meeting point well before the tour begins.
Transfers from each of the listed departure points are covered in the overall tour rate.
Times may be adjusted if circumstances require it, and any update will be confirmed with clients well ahead of departure.
We don’t arrange accommodation or transport for the period before or after the tour.
Unless a group booking has been made for the tour, departures are shared with other clients.
