This exciting tour begins in Johannesburg and ends in Cape Town, taking you to some of South Africa’s biggest tourist attractions. Visit the Soweto Township, the magnificent Kruger National Park, and explore the thundering Victoria Falls before ending up in the spectacular city of Cape Town.
Note: Zimbabwe uses USD$ currency and it is advisable to have some cash on you. Major credit cards are also accepted at most outlets.
Once you arrive in the city, you will be collected from the airport and be taken to your Hotel. Once you have settled in, your tour begins with a tour of the famous Soweto Township. After an invigorating tour, you will be transferred back to your Hotel.
Today your 10-day tour officially begins and you will be taken to OR Tambo International Airport soon after breakfast and flown to Zimbabwe. Once you have landed in Zimbabwe you will be met by one of our representatives who will escort you to your hotel. When you have checked in and unpacked, the afternoon will be spent relaxing and enjoying a late lunch before embarking on a sunset river cruise.
This day is one for relaxation and with many activities available to indulge in, you can choose what you would like to partake in. Today you can take a trip to the famous Victoria Falls, or you can explore the town by visiting the curio shops and other markets. The nearby Hwange National Park also makes for the ideal day trip and should you be up for an adrenaline filled adventure, you can sign up for Bungee Jumping, horse riding or a thrilling rafting adventure down the Zambezi River. (The activities are on your own account.)
The third day of your tour will take you to neighbouring Botswana with the day starting bright and early. We will collect you and take you for a day in the Chobe National Park. Today you will enjoy a full day safari which includes a cruise on the Chobe River and a memorable Game Drive.
Chobe is conveniently located just an hour away from the Victoria Falls and it is home to one of Africa’s largest populations of animals. Here are going to see plenty of lion and elephant, two animals that the park is well known for.
After indulging in a delicious breakfast, we are on the move again. You will be provided with a transfer from your hotel to the Livingstone Airport in Zambia from where you will be flying back to South Africa. You will arrive at the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and from there be transferred to Casterbridge Hollow in White River where you will be spending the night.
On this day we leave White River and head to Hippo Hollow Hotel in Hazyview, which will be home for the next three nights. This comfortable hotel is just 10 minutes away from Phabeni Gate or Numbi Gate, which is our entry points to the Kruger National Park. We choose this Hotel because it is comfortable, secluded and safe, and the meals are simply delicious. After we have checked in and relaxed, we head to the park for the first safari drive. You will arrive back at the Hotel in the late afternoon.
Before the sun rises, we are already in the safari vehicles and heading to the Kruger National Park in vehicles that are comfortable and cool. We enter the park through one of the areas in which animals sightings are the most common. You will spend the whole day in the company of a ranger who knows the park very well and the day will be spent visiting the best-known areas in which to spot animals, such as water holes, rivers and look out points.
During the early morning safari, breakfast is served at a rest camped and is comprised of a wholesome pre-packed meal. After a short break, we continue the safari, in search for the Big 5 which are often spotted in the areas in which we travel. It is not only the Big 5 that you will encounter while on this safari as the famed park is known for having around 100 mammal species and roughly 500 species of bird. For lunch, we again stop at a rest camp and indulge in the menu provided before setting off again in the afternoon to spot the wildlife.
At around 4pm, the safari comes to an end and we head back to the hotel in Hazyview. While waiting for dinner, we relax, take a dip in the swimming pool and chat about the safari.
On Day 8, soon after breakfast, we transfer you back to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. From here you will fly to Cape Town. Upon your arrival in Cape Town, you will be collected from the airport and driven in comfort to your Cape Town hotel. The rest of the day is spent relaxing.
Cape Town is an exquisite city, with so much to see and do. On this day, you will spend your time at your leisure, travelling around the city seeing everything there is to offer. You can visit Table Mountain, visit the nearby wine lands, visit Robben Island or take in any of the other tourist attractions.
After breakfast, you check out of the hotel at around 10:00 am and continue your travels. Reception can assist you in arranging transport from your hotel.
