4 Day Kruger Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg & Afternoon Kruger Park Safari

(Dinner)

Guests will be collected from various lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of the OR Tambo International Airport between 6:30 am and 6:45 am, and then from the OR Tambo International Airport shuttle and bus Terminal between 6:45 and 7:00 am, we depart at 7:15 am.

Clients can fly directly into Skukuza Kruger National park, or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airports and be collected by your Kurt safari Guide at no additional cost.

Please note these are shared departures. We will travel directly to a lodge in Hazyview and arrive between 11:30 am – 12:00 pm, There you will meet with your Guide, and a short 15 Min drive we will enter the park making our way towards your rest camp for the next 2 Nights, The guide will stop at a rest camp for a chance to get some lunch, before continuing with an afternoon safaris till gate closing time.

Day 2: Morning and Afternoon Safaris

(Breakfast/Dinner)

All safaris start before sunrise, Mpumalanga means the place of the rising sun and is the first province in South Africa to see the sun rise. This is the best part of the day, not knowing what to expect, Gates open just before sunrise your guide will stop after about 3 hours for a breakfast and bathroom break and chance to get a coffee. We then continue with your safari, Kruger offers a variety of eco zones and each one has a different range of wildlife, we visit rivers and watering holes as well as plains and Bushveld regions.

You will return to your Rest camp around 11 Am daily for a swim and time to relax and depart again at around 3 pm for your afternoon safari, again many different routes with waterholes not far from the camp that offer great sunsets. You will return to the lodge at gate closing time and have a hearty dinner at the restaurant. Your guide can make a fire after dinner and enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the African night sounds and the distance call of the hyena and lion when lucky.

 (OPTIONAL NIGHT SAFARIS – your guide can arrange this with reception these drives are only conducted by Sanparks with their open safari vehicles, and are at an additional cost)

DAY 3: Morning and Afternoon Safaris

(Breakfast/Dinner)      

Every day brings something new, no safari is ever the same and your guide will have an idea on where best to discover wildlife not maybe yet seen the Previous 2 days, The Kruger National park has plenty to offer and on a 4 day safari every safari will be different and exciting, you will visit Rivers, look out points, water holes, your guide will have many years of experience and will ensure the very best on each safari.

You will return to your Rest camp around 11 Am for a swim and time to relax and depart again at around 3 pm for your afternoon safari, again you will return to the lodge at gate closing time and have a hearty dinner at the restaurant.

DAY 4: Morning safari then Return Transfer to Johannesburg

(Breakfast)      

The last safari and again we depart before sunrise, your guide will try for lion and leopard as they are most active in the early mornings. The Kruger National Park has 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species. So, lots to see and photograph.

You will depart with your Luggage and your guide will stop at a rest camp for Breakfast, before continuing towards Hazyview on safari meeting with your Transfer.

Here you say goodbye to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg. Clients are collected by the shuttle at around 11.30 am, and we return to Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges within a 5 km radius, arriving between 17.00 – 18.00 pm.

NB: Clients flying out of OR Tambo International on the last day should please not book they flight any earlier then 19.00 pm for Domestic and 20.00 pm for International flights.
