Clients will be collected at Skukuza Airport in the Kruger National Park, you will be met by your Kurt Safari Guide, Clients will start immediately with the Safari and head north to Satara approximately 100 km North and hope for some great wildlife sightings ahead towards Satara. Kurt Safari guides have years of experience, and every safari will differ depending on the times of the year, with different seasons and temperatures. Once in Satara you will check into your Bungalow for the following 3 nights, depending on the time you might have another short safari before gate closing time. The restaurant at Satara offers a variety of dishes, there is something for everyone. Bungalows are not luxury accommodation, but all have en-suite bathrooms and are all air-conditioned, with a Veranda a fridge and braai area. They are serviced daily and are in walking distance from the pool, restaurant and shop.
Dinner will be at the restaurant and your guide can arrange you a fire at your bungalow and listen to the Night sounds after Dinner.
Day 2: Private Morning and Afternoon Safaris
All safaris start before sunrise, Mpumalanga means the place of the rising sun and is the first province in South Africa to see the sun rise. This is the best part of the day, not knowing what to expect, Gates open just before sunrise your guide will stop after about 3 hours for a breakfast and bathroom break and chance to get a coffee. We then continue with your safari, Kruger offers a variety of eco zones and each one has a different range of wildlife, we visit rivers and watering holes as well as plains and Bushveld regions.
You will return to your Rest camp around 11 Am daily for a swim and time to relax and depart again at around 3 pm for your afternoon safari, again many different routes with waterholes not far from the camp that offer great sunsets. You will return to the lodge at gate closing time and have a hearty dinner at the restaurant. Your guide can make a fire after dinner and enjoy a glass of wine while listening to the African night sounds and the distance call of the hyena and lion when lucky.
(OPTIONAL NIGHT SAFARIS – your guide can arrange this with reception these drives are only conducted by Sanparks with their open safari vehicles, and are at an additional cost)
