Location

The Eagles Chalets, located just east of Aus, are built into rounded granite boulders with a rugged granite-gneiss mountain in the background. Eagles can soar above you, and the vast views in front of you will take your breath away. The Eagle’s Nest chalets are private self-catering retreats located seven kilometers from the main Klein Aus Vista lodge.

Description

Each spacious private chalet was constructed to order, with natural elements and boulders incorporated into the interiors in a rustic and luxurious mix. All of the chalets have ceiling fans and inside fireplaces for year-round comfort. Dinner can be prepared in the kitchen or over an open fire with Barbecue Baskets purchased from the main lodge, or you can dine at the Desert Horse Inn restaurant. On request, breakfast packs can be taken away, or breakfast can be eaten at the main lodge.

Special Features

Old WWI ramparts as well as an ancient Hudson motorcar riddled with bullet holes from an almost-forgotten shoot-out with diamond smugglers can be found along the walking trails that skirt the rocky hills. The Garub waterhole, which is regularly visited by Namib wild horses, is just 20 kilometers to the west.
