The Storms River Mouth is a tucked away stretch of coastline that is located within the Tsitsikamma National Park. The attraction of the Storms River Mouth is, it is the location where the Indian Ocean violently pounds against the mainland. This area is famous for hikers and adventurers alike. There is a stunning rope bridge that can be used to cross the raging ocean to the other side of the gorge.
Conveniently located after the Storms River Mouth, the Bloukrans Bridge stands proud over the landscape. Known as the Tallest Bridge in Africa, the Bloukrans Bridge is a staggering 200m above ground. The Bridge is a masterpiece in architecture as it stretches the large gorge. The main attraction here is one of the highest bungee jumps in the world and is definitely not for the faint of heart and rather for those adventurous at heart.
The Knysna Heads is located near one of the Garden Route’s most beautiful locations, Knysna. The Heads are two large and imposing cliffs that come together, almost touching, protecting the Knysna Lagoon from the unrestrained power of the Indian Ocean. The boat trip along the heads is a truly amazing and beautiful experience.
The Kaaimans River Bridge is a unique and beautiful and unique experience. The Bridge crosses the mouth in a curved shape, that provides a beautiful scenic experience for photographers as you get to experience the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The estuary is a beautiful landscape and the train bridge operated until 2009.
The Addo Elephant Park is a beautiful and great stop on the Garden Route. The Addo Elephant Park is home to the largest concentration of Elephants in the world. The Addo Elephant park is also home to a number of lions, leopards, rhinos and buffalo. The Park is home to 450 elephants, which means guests will have plenty of amazing encounters and experiences that will stay into the memories of everyone visiting.
Gansbaai is an amazing stop to make on your Garden Route Adventure. The rugged coastline is home to a plethora of stunning animals and is one of the hotspots to encounter whales, dolphins, seals, sharks and penguins. Gansbaai is known worldwide as the Great White hotspot of the world as shark biologists from all over come to these coastlines to study these great predators.
