La carapace est uniform\u00e9ment noire avec un motif centr\u00e9 jaune nettement d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par des marques noires. Le corps r\u00e9el de la tortue est de couleur vert olive. Elle a une t\u00eate plate et large avec des yeux positionn\u00e9s plus en avant sur sa t\u00eate.<\/p>\n<h2>R\u00e9gime<\/h2>\n<p>Ces tortues aquatiques se nourrissent principalement de proies aquatiques comme de petits poissons, des grenouilles, des crabes, des fruits et des escargots.<\/p>\n<h2>Distribution<\/h2>\n<p>La tortue d'eau \u00e0 charni\u00e8re dentel\u00e9e pr\u00e9f\u00e8re l'Afrique de l'Est tropicale, des chutes Victoria et du fleuve Zamb\u00e8ze, au sud du Zululand.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9levage<\/h2>\n<p>Une femelle unique pond entre 7 et 25 \u0153ufs \u00e0 environ 500 m\u00e8tres du rivage, entre octobre et janvier, et ceux-ci \u00e9closent de mars \u00e0 avril.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Name Serrated Hinged Terrapin Appearance The Serrated hinged terrapin is the largest hinged terrapin in the world.
