Il poss\u00e8de une petite fen\u00eatre au-dessus des yeux, provenant de la paupi\u00e8re inf\u00e9rieure. Il a \u00e9galement des ouvertures auriculaires bien visibles. La coloration de ces l\u00e9zards varie en fonction de la sous-esp\u00e8ce.<\/p>\n<h2>R\u00e9gime<\/h2>\n<p>Le l\u00e9zard se nourrit de petits insectes comme les scarab\u00e9es, les papillons de nuit et d'autres invert\u00e9br\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h2>Distribution<\/h2>\n<p>Le scinque z\u00e9br\u00e9 vit couramment dans l'Est de l'Afrique du Sud, le Transkei, le nord-est du Cap et vers l'ouest jusqu'en Zambie et en Angola.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9levage<\/h2>\n<p>Les femelles donnent naissance \u00e0 3 \u00e0 6 petits par an au lieu de pondre des \u0153ufs.
