La boisson \u00e9tait brass\u00e9e sur place et on dit qu'elle \u00e9tait fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 partir de fruit de marula. Bien qu'en apparence, ses actions aient pu sembler irr\u00e9prochables, une histoire raconte qu'il travaillait avec une bande de voyous locaux qui ciblaient les mineurs Shangaan de passage et volaient leur argent durement gagn\u00e9.
