Day 1: Morning Pick Up and a Day Spent in the Cape Peninsula

We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary or transportation arrangements if required by unplanned circumstances.

We begin our journey early, starting with a delightful stop at Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins. We’ll spend some time here watching these curious birds up close as they waddle along the sand and swim in the clear coastal waters.

Next, we venture to Cape Point National Park, where you’ll be surrounded by the most astounding natural beauty. You can choose to stroll up to the historic lighthouse to see those spectacular panoramas, or enjoy a relaxed ride on the famous “Flying Dutchman” funicular, the only commercial funicular in Africa.

From here, we travel to the Cape of Good Hope, the rugged south-western tip of the African continent, where the cold Atlantic stretches out before you.

Throughout the day, we’ll drive along the elegant Atlantic seaboard, passing through Clifton and Camps Bay, with their pristine beaches and postcard-worthy views of the Twelve Apostles mountain range.

The experience comes to an end with a drive along Chapman’s Peak, one of the most astounding coastal roads in the world.
