This is just the tour for a passionate oenophile, and anyone else who occasionally enjoys a glass of exceptional wine or who has an interest in wine agriculture.

This day tour is relaxed and personal. We usually visit three estates that we’ll pick together on the day.
Over a chat during the drive, we’ll hear what you’re in the mood for, maybe bold reds, crisp whites, incredible views, historic vibes, or somewhere with beautiful gardens and great food, and then customise the tour for you.
We’ll collect you from your accommodation around 9:00 am (whether you’re in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, or nearby), settle in with some bottled water, and head out on a scenic drive that winds through valleys and up mountain slopes, with views of Table Mountain, False Bay, Simonsberg, and Helderberg popping up along the way.
Among our current favourite stops are places like Uva Mira, a boutique perched high on the Helderberg slope; Jordan Wine Estate, a warm family-owned spot with views over the bay and mountains; Warwick, famous for pioneering the Cape Blend and its award-winning reds; Stark-Condé, where you’ll taste exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon; Babylonstoren, with its outstanding fruit and vegetable gardens right at the foot of Simonsberg; Boschendal, with its gorgeous gardens, picnic options, and exceptional garden-to-table dining; Muratie, one of the oldest estates in the country (dating back to 1685 and proudly showing its age in the best way); Rust en Vrede, a go-to for robust Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah; and Oldenburg, that lovely place overlooking the beautiful Banhoek Valley.
At each stop, you’ll have intimate tastings, usually 5 to 8 wines, maybe take a peek into the cellar if the timing’s right, and have plenty of time to just sit, sip, and soak in the surroundings.
We plan the route so the driving stays easy and logical, giving you an unhurried day that lasts about 8–9 hours before we drop you back at your location of choice in the late afternoon or early evening.
The tour includes your driver/guide, all the tastings, and water throughout; lunch, a picnic, or any extras are easy to add on if you’d like.
Your guide will be with you for the duration of the day to ensure that all scheduled activities run smoothly. This tour takes place over a period of 8 to 10 hours. If you’d like assistance beyond the day’s programme, your guide can also provide suggestions for evening plans and assist with practical arrangements such as organising transport or booking dinner at a restaurant of your choice.
