On arrival at the airport, you will be met and taken directly to the Falls, a welcome activity after a long flight. Your local guide will brief you on the history of the rainforest and take you to it’s points of interest, as well as a photo stop at the Big Tree. Raincoats are provided when needed.
Please note: this tour may be conducted on your arrival day or on your day of departure (flight times dependent). This tour is included for guests arriving and/or departing via Victoria Falls and Livingstone only.
On completion of the tour, you will be transferred to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time at the lodge, you can enjoy a river safari or game drive.
Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is situated on a riverine fringe of the mighty Zambezi River where Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia converge. Offering guests welcome respite within a private concession along 14 kilometres of river frontage, while bordering the Chobe Forest Reserve. Wildlife sightings and birdlife are prolific in this secluded area. Guides will take you on a 4X4 game drive within the private concession, where you will experience the wildlife in their natural habitat. There is a choice of a morning and afternoon safari and includes refreshments. You also can enjoy an included morning or afternoon river safari on the lodge pontoon boat. Here guests are often treated with awesome sightings of wildlife at the water’s edge, and provide amazing opportunities to capture a perfect African sunset while enjoying snacks and drinks.

A very early start to the morning, with rusks and tea or coffee to kick-start your morning’s game
viewing activity. After your safety briefing, hop on board your 4X4 vehicle and start off before
sunrise. Guides are trained to track the host of wildlife found on the concession. An astonishing
variety of animals can be seen; huge herds of buffalo, massive elephant herds, large variety of
buck species. Harder to find species include leopard and wild dog packs.
Return to Camp for some leisure time. Indulge at the Spa for a decadent treatment, or laze
around the refreshing swimming pool during the heat of the day. You can also enjoy game
viewing from the comfort and privacy of your room verandah. There are no fences at Imbabala
and you can expect to see the local wildlife drink from the river or from the water-hole.
End the day with another exciting river safari or game drive, before returning to the lodge for
dinner and well deserved respite from the African sun.
This morning you will be taken on a full day trip to enjoy a morning river cruise and afternoon
game drive inside the Chobe National Park. Lunch is included.
Please note that you will be crossing the border to and from Botswana, please have your
passport ready. Once across the border, you will board a boat for the morning game cruise
along the Chobe River. The cruise will end at around 12h30 followed by lunch at a hotel on the
riverbank. After lunch, board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National
Park.
Chobe National Park is world renown for their elephant population, in the dry season an
estimate of up to 85,000 elephants can be grazing within the Chobe National Park, most of
whom can be found along the river. Apart from the herds of elephants, Chobe teems with lion,
leopard, buffalo and a whole host of antelope like sable, puku, kudu, eland, roan and many
others which you can get to see. The river is home to pods of hippos and some of the biggest
crocodiles in Africa.
Late this afternoon you will be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Please note that this tour is optional, and you may choose to stay at the lodge to enjoy the
activities on offer.
After breakfast, you will be transferred into Victoria Falls town for an adventure-filled day.Start the day with an included Heli Flip, which gives you an awe-inspiring viewpoint of the Falls.
You can then enjoy endless optional activities; of which the most popular are;
Lunch is included on this day, at the Lookout Cafe. Located on the rim of the Batoka Gorge, Lookout Café combines great food and spectacular views of the Victoria Falls Bridge and Gorge below.
By sunset you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After the early morning activity at the lodge, return for a hearty brunch before your transfer back to either Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Kasane Airport for your onward flight.
