On completion of the tour, you will be transferred to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time
at the lodge, you can enjoy a river safari or game drive.
Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is situated on a riverine fringe of the mighty Zambezi River
where Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia converge. Offering guests welcome respite
within a private concession along 14 kilometres of river frontage, while bordering the Chobe
Forest Reserve. Wildlife sightings and birdlife are prolific in this secluded area. Guides will take
you on a 4X4 game drive within the private concession, where you will experience the wildlife in
their natural habitat. There is a choice of a morning and afternoon safari and includes
refreshments. You also can enjoy an included morning or afternoon river safari on the lodge
pontoon boat. Here guests are often treated with awesome sightings of wildlife at the water’s
edge, and provide amazing opportunities to capture a perfect African sunset while enjoying
snacks and drinks.

The lodge offers exclusivity for only 20 guests in comfortable stone & thatch lodges. Old world
charm blends well with modern designs and gives guests a home-from-home feeling. Each
lodge is well positioned for sweeping views of the Zambezi River. Spacious verandahs allow
guests to look out over the river in comfort and privacy. The lodge is unfenced and located in a
wilderness area where wildlife roam freely, giving it an authentic African wildlife experience.

Day 2: Game viewing

A very early start to the morning, with rusks and tea or coffee to kick-start your morning’s game
viewing activity. After your safety briefing, hop on board your 4X4 vehicle and start off before
sunrise. Guides are trained to track the host of wildlife found on the concession. An astonishing
variety of animals can be seen; huge herds of buffalo, massive elephant herds, large variety of
buck species. Harder to find species include leopard and wild dog packs.
Return to Camp for some leisure time. Indulge at the Spa for a decadent treatment, or laze
around the refreshing swimming pool during the heat of the day. You can also enjoy game
viewing from the comfort and privacy of your room verandah. There are no fences at Imbabala
and you can expect to see the local wildlife drink from the river or from the water-hole.

End the day with another exciting river safari or game drive, before returning to the lodge for
dinner and well-deserved respite from the African sun.

Day 3: Chobe National Park

This morning you will be taken on a full day trip to enjoy a morning river cruise and afternoon
game drive inside the Chobe National Park. Lunch is included.
Please note that you will be crossing the border to and from Botswana, and your passport will
be needed. Visa regulations will apply as well. Once across the border, you will board a boat for
the morning game cruise along the Chobe River. The cruise will end at around 12h30 followed
by lunch at a hotel on the riverbank. After lunch, board safari vehicles for an afternoon game
drive in the Chobe National Park.

Chobe National Park is world renown for their elephant population, in the dry season an
estimate of up to 85,000 elephants can be grazing within the Chobe National Park, most of
whom can be found along the river. Apart from the herds of elephants, Chobe teems with lion,
leopard, buffalo and a whole host of antelope like sable, puku, kudu, eland, roan and many
others which you can get to see. The river is home to pods of hippos and some of the biggest

Late this afternoon you will be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
