Overlanding safaris are for those that want to travel off the beaten track and head deep into the less explored parts of Africa. Tours are conducted in four-wheel-drive vehicles, so that rockier paths may be traveled.

Kurt personally specializes in tours through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and South Africa. He has completed approximately 28 tours to Namibia, has grown to love the country and even uses it as his personal getaway.

Most Overland 4X4 tours start in Cape Town and follow the beautiful West Coast through to Namibia, then to Botswana with the tour ending in Zambia at Livingstone, overlooking the world-famous Victoria Falls. We can tailor your tour according to your personal requirements, concentrating on one (or more) countries, up to and including, Kenya.

Camping is the most affordable way to experience Africa and is perhaps the best way to really experience this tour, spending day and night under the African sky.
We will ensure that the trip is well-planned and we offer all the necessary equipment to make the camping experience a comfortable and enjoyable one.
If flushing your boots of acquired wildlife in the morning is a little too rustic for you, we can accommodate you at the most comfortable and affordable accommodation en route. The small Bush Lodges and Guest Houses are generally hidden deep in the African bush, but have all the luxuries and comforts of home.

All these tours are tailor-made, to suit every client’s budget and needs. We do feel that anything is possible, and it only takes a little work to put it all together, so we encourage you to contact us with ideas or for suggestions. These tours are great for families, small groups and others who prefer large and predefined package tour deals.

At Kurt’s Safari Co we have many years of experience in Overlanding and we don’t give preference to the easiest destinations but rather those that we have discovered and believe to be the top destinations for game viewing, landscape and to showcase all that Africa has to offer.
